Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Early in the morning, have a hearty breakfast and after, you will be picked up by a well-trained Kenya guide at your hotel facilities. Depart from your hotel at around 8:30am for Lake Nakuru National Park, Kenya’s rich park with 1000s of pink flamingos, rhinos and several other mammals.
On arrival, you will check in at the lodge, have lunch and relaxation then you will embark on late afternoon game drive.
Day 2: Morning game drive & Drive to Lake Naivasha
After a hefty breakfast, you will leave your lodge ready to catch up with early risers in Lake Nakuru NP. Your guide will showcase you every bit about this park and you will return when filled with lasting memories.
Common wildlife to come across during the morning game drive in Nakuru NP include the endangered giraffes, black rhinos, zebras, white rhinos, cape buffaloes, and birds, especially the pink flamingos. From Nakuru National Park, you will be transferred to Lake Naivasha, your next safari destination.
Day 3: Birding around Lake Naivasha & depart to Maasai Mara reserve
Enjoy a tasty cup of tea or coffee and after, you will set off for bird watching. Lake Naivasha is a Ramsar site with over 350 bird species. Today’s birding excursion will be done at Lake Naivasha and expect to identify birds such as Basra reed warbler, red-knobbed coot, grey-crested helmeted shrike, lesser flamingoes, and others.
Still on this boat birding excursion, you will come across hippos and other aquatic life. You will return, check out from and your next visit will be at Maasai Mara Reserve.
Day 4: Maasai Mara morning & afternoon game drives
You will have the entire day exploring Maasai Mara Reserve starting in the morning till afternoon. The 2 sessions of game drives allow you search for various wildlife species. Including leopards, zebras, rhinos, migrating wildebeests, giraffes, lions, and diversity of birds. Drive back to the lodge in a slow speed as you keep eyes on other wildlife species.
Day 5: Depart after sunrise game drive
Enjoy a sunrise game drive and return to check out of the lodge. From here, set off to Nairobi city. Here you will be departing back home or remain at your hotel within the city awaiting to visit your next destination.
