Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Samburu, cultural visits to the Samburu caves.
You will be picked up from the airport or a hotel in the heart of Kenya. Continue to Samburu National reserve. A journey that will take about 4 hours and 20 minutes for the 293 kilometers distance.
A scrumptious lunch will be served on arrival in the afternoon. Continue to Samburu caves for a historical rock art adventure and cultural encounters. Interact with the indigenous Masai people the whole evening. At sunset, head back to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.
Day 2: Game drive, and bird watching tour.
Morning delicious meal served before sunrise at the lodge. Proceed on a morning game drive through Naashapa hills and areas of Nakadeli. The game drive will enable visitors to see the special five of Samburu National Park, namely Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffes, greys zebra and gerenuk. A flavor some lunch served at around 1:00 PM.
After lunch, continue to the wilderness for a bird watching activity that will enable you to view rare bird species of the National Park such as African fish eagles, turacos, Abyssinian ground hornbill, black-bee eaters, cinnamons, egrets, hammerkops and secretary birds.
Day 3: Transfer back to Nairobi
Breakfast served early morning at sunrise at the lodge. After breakfast, check out of the lodge and embark on the transfer to Nairobi which is approximately a four hours and 20 minutes’ drive.
